On Saturday May 29th, the first Rosso Alfa Romeo car meeting took place in Ticino, in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Banca del Sempione. More than 130 beautiful cars travelled through the routes of Ticino, touching the cities of Chiasso, Lugano, Bellinzona and Locarno. At least 20 models were rare and precious, built between 1928 and the 70s. As special guests there were also the new Giulietta and the awesome 8C Competizione. The event ended in a crowded Piazza Grande in Locarno, were all the cars tranformed the area in a big openair museum, and the courtyard of the Società Elettrica Sopracenerina hosted the prizegiving ceremony. The winner car was a Swiss black 6C 2500 Touring (year 1939). The next meeting will take place in Engadina between August 21st and 22nd.
